John and Steve have many years of professional playing and songwriting and came together in 2025 to form The Scorchers Duo.

 

Both have a love of Ska and Reggae and play out live combining Classic Ska and Reggae covers along with with their own material.

Their set can be from 45 minutes to two hours and they come fully independent with their own quality PA up to a 4k rig for gigs and functions up to 200 people. They can also add a DJ.

 

The Duo play popular Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady music including covers from UB40, Madness, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Decker, The Skatalites, Prince Buster, The Specials, Toots and the Maytals and many more....  

 

They tailor their set to suit the function and are always very well received, they can add special guest artists to create a 3 or 4 piece band.

 

The Duo are great for many occasions including parties, festivals, gigs, weddings, functions, holiday camps, pubs, clubs and social/ community events.
